I just saw the new Original Marines Spring 2011 Ad Campaign and Catalog. Addison modeled for them back in November at just 5 months old. I hadn’t heard of the company before Addison worked with them, but I must say I am huge fan now. Their clothes are so soft and cute. Here are a few images of the ACE man.
The ACE man booked two great modeling gigs lately. He just finished working for Carter’s and American Baby Magazine. Keep an eye out in your local Carter’s stores and online for Addison. He should be featured sometime soon. New store advertisements come out every Tuesday. If you happen to see him, please let me know. I believe he was wearing a gray onesie and is with another little baby girl with dark hair. As for American Baby Magazine, he should be in the May issue as an editorial. I am not sure if they were shooting the cover shot that day. Here are a few behind the scenes images.

Final shot, that’s a wrap!
We have had so much going on lately with all of our family being sick and the loss of loved ones. We have been doing our best to try to get back into some form of normalcy. Here is little view Addison lately. Happy 8 month Birthday ACE man!
So the little ACE man has had a great start to his modeling career and I am getting back into the swing of things with mine. I have a few photo shoots set up over the next week to update and add to my portfolio. Now that I have a little munchkin it is time to tap into the Mommy world of modeling and acting. I am looking forward to this new chapter in my career. These are just a few images from this past weekends photo shoot.
ACE: Addison Cooper Egloff
I have had so many people ask me why I named my son what I did, and what his name means.
Addison means son of Adam
Cooper means Barrel Maker
Egloff is German and Swiss German: from the Germanic personal name Egilolf, composed of the elements agi(l) ‘edge’, ‘point’ (of a sword) + ‘wolf’, cognate with Old English Ecgwulf. This was the name of several Lombard kings (ancestors of the Bavarian ducal line of the Agilolfinger), who introduced the name to Italy.
ACE means Unity or One: Mommy and Daddy came together to create ONE perfect little boy.
The plain and simple reason why Ryan and I named him this is, well we just liked it. I was in one of my random moods while I was pregnant and came of with a list of names. We both were in complete agreement on it and loved the name. No matter what he or his friends decided to call him growing up, we knew all three of these names were strong guy names. We also felt there was no fear of him getting picked for having a weird name. Let’s be serious being a kid is hard enough. Yep, it’s that simple.
Good Morning!
Addison is now 3 1/2 months old. He has been sleeping about 8 hours a night, but last night he slept 10 hours! Unbelievable!
He was just too cute this morning smiling, cooing and giggling after he woke up.
Family
Sunday was a wonderful day spent with Family. The morning started like usual with Addison’s morning feeding and then a little playtime. Then, Ryan’s parents came to Raleigh to visit with Addison. This was Ryan’s Dads first time meeting his grandson. We grilled out and spent time talking and enjoying the ACE man! After Ryan’s parents left Mom, ACE, the pups and I had TV Bedtime! This basically cuddle time in Momma’s bed while watching a good Lifetime movie. You are never to old for cuddle time with your Momma!

I am going to be in trouble when he turns 16!
I know I am biased an all, but I think ACE is pretty darn cute. This little guy already loves the ladies. He just lights up anytime he sees a beautiful girl!
Always all smiles!
Oh, how I wish I had beautiful pouty lips like him!
Gosh, I love those blue eyes!
Addison Update:
So it has been a little over a week since Addison was released from the Hospital. He is doing amazing! The new rice cereal thickened feedings have done wonders for his reflux. He has had only a few minor spit up episodes since we started him on this. He used to eat 5 ounces of formula, but I cut it back to 4 ounces of formula with 4 tablespoons of rice cereal. I wanted to be sure that his belly wasn’t too full. The doctor informed us that less food and more feedings is better for a reflux condition. I think now that he is 3 months I will try to bump it back up to 5 ounces of formula with 5 tablespoons of rice cereal. We have changed his bottles out as well to accompany the thicker feedings. After lots of trial and error and tons of money spent on bottles and nipples I finally have it figured out. The best bottle for thicker feedings is the Born Free and the best nipple is Avent. I found the two nipples that work best: Variable flow and Fast Flow (if I make a small cut on the top side of the nipple, don’t cut near the holes or it will tear right through). These nipples are a lot harder than other nipples and keep the nipple from going concave or collapsing while he is sucking on it. He is sleeping with a wedge in his pack and play at night. I am not sure when I will or if I will ever transition him to his crib. I just can’t bare to have him that far away from me at night.
Although Addison is doing amazing and seems to be back to his old self, I on the other hand am a wreck. I am constantly in fear that something is going to happen again. Every time I hear him cough, or I see saliva bubbles on his lips I freak out. If I hear any sort of beep my heart drops and skips a beat. I have made my hubby and I continue to practice CPR and infant choking on a stuffed animal. I find it impossible to sleep at night. I wake up constantly checking on Addison and watching him breathe. I know that everything will get better in time, but for now I am trying my best to make it through each day without having a panic attack.

My husband, Ryan, and I just welcomed our first baby on June 6, 2010! ACE is wonderful addition to our family of furry babies. All of our furry babies are rescues.
